WHITEHAVEN Rugby League has announced the addition of forwards Huw Worthington and Dan Hindmarsh.

This comes ahead of the weekend’s home clash against Featherstone Rovers.

Huw Worthington is no stranger to the Ortus Rec having played for Wales versus Cumbria in Kyle Amor’s testimonial hosted by the club back in October Having played in Australia and the UK and joins the club on a month’s trial.

Head coach Jonty Gorley said: "We got in touch with him last week after playing a few games for London Reserves and I’ve spoken to Mike Eccles. He’s playing down under and played for Roosters reserves last year so he’s no mug."

Dan Hindmarsh is a London Broncos product who made his Super League debut for the Broncos back in 2019 and joined Castleford ahead of the 2024 campaign signing from Queensland Cup side Northern Pride.

Gorley spoke of the loan of Hindmarsh saying: “I have to say fair play to Castleford who have been great with us and they’ve helped us out with Dan for the next couple of weeks.

"He’s a big thing and is another good middle who’s played at a decent level and is a middle which we haven’t had a lot of so far. He’ll fit in here well, he carries really well and gives us much-needed support in the middle.”
