Cumbria Police have conducted speed checks in west Cumbria after concerns were raised by residents.
Officers based in the Copeland area were in Pica and Cleator Moor on Tuesday evening with a laser speed camera after the communities shared their concerns.
Copeland Police said: "Officers deployed winter tactics and positioned themselves so they could safely and efficiently operate the laser from the van; this allowed for enhanced visibility in the dark and also meant our hands didn't freeze so we could stay out for longer in hotspot areas."
