CUMBRIA Police searched a man after he was reported to be under the influence of drugs.
Officers responded to reports in Whitehaven and conducted the search, however no illegal substances were found.
The incident took place in the town centre.
A spokesperson said: "The Local Neighbourhood Policing team attended Whitehaven town centre after reports of a male under the influence of illegal drugs. A section 23 Misuse Of Drugs Act search was conducted and this was negative.
"Police will use search powers where applicable to locate and stop any illegal drug use.
"Please continue to report any suspicious behaviour to Cumbria Police on 101/999 or by using our website."
